The city of Chicago is about to have a city wide election. We will be able to choose our new mayor, new aldermen, new city clerk if we choose. I have heard a lot about and from the candidates that want to be trusted for this extremely well respected and powerful position but it is so hard to know what is true. After all, this city has had a history of City Clerks that have been forced to leave due to corruption.
I've been spending a lot of time listening to people talk, looking at all the pamphlets being put out, listening to the radio programs and I feel that I have actually found a candidate worth trusting. Jose Cerda has really begun to shine as an excellent leader and his years of experience in high level positions makes me feel confident. This man spent six years working for President Clinton! He's also worked for Mayor Daley recently.
Besides having the experience Jose Cerda is someone who really cares about Chicago. This is a candidate who knows the city as he grew up in Chicago's Back of Yards neighborhood. This is a man who made it from Back of Yards to Harvard Yard and has come back to help the mayor make this city the best that it can be.
Jose Cerda is the best candidate for the City Clerks office. I hope that everyone will join me in voting for him in this upcoming election on Feb. 27th.
